A lot of thought went into the details of this outstanding family residence, built by Horizon Homes on Sydney upper north shore.
Built on a 1,352 square metre block, this knockdown rebuild provides for luxurious, expansive indoor spaces, and wide-open outdoor areas.
Like all our builds, we took into consideration the direction of the sun and prevailing winds and made sure the best views were captured.
It’s a well-established suburb so, again like all our builds, consideration was given to ensuring the new home minimised intrusion on neighbours’ privacy. And we also wanted to make sure that the new owners were shielded, as much as possible, from known neighbourhood noise sources in the design.
The home has outstanding street appeal, with a generous front garden. The front porch opens to an extra-wide hallway, with soaring double height ceilings, flanked by a formal lounge and guest bedroom. The rest of the ground floor is devoted to family living spaces – a rumpus room, large family and meals area flowing through to a large kitchen, well-proportioned butler’s pantry and al fresco meals area with outdoor kitchen.
The ground floor also has one and a half bathrooms, a laundry and a clever little side patio that’s just perfect for drying clothes on a rainy day. The double garage has plenty of additional storage.
Upstairs you’ll find a private family lounge with its own balcony, four bedrooms – the primary bedroom has a walk-in robe and ensuite. A third bathroom services the remaining bedrooms.
The attention to detail in this home is second to none, with beautiful wainscotting, custom built cabinetry throughout and gorgeous fixtures and fittings, including stonework that really makes a statement, and striking dark hardwood floors.
