COVID-19 has certainly given us a new appreciation of the need for well-designed, functional home spaces.
The pandemic crisis forced many people to work and study from home. And even though restrictions are lifting, we’re still spending more time at home than ever before. As a result, many people are more closely examining how they use their homes.
Since things are started to open up again, we’ve also noticed a spike in enquires and internet searches about home builds and design ideas.
Obviously, living in social isolation has given people more time to consider everything they want in their new home!
Designing your dream home takes time
If you’ve been thinking about whether you should knock down and rebuild, Horizon Homes is open and available to help you start that journey.
But it will take some time. First, there’s the design and building approval stage. Horizon Homes can guide you through this, providing expert advice every step of the way. But it will still take between 6 – 12 months. It really depends on the type of build you are planning.
Once approval to build has been granted, constructing a custom home usually takes 10 to 12 months to complete.
No time like the present
So now that things are beginning to normalise and people are feeling more confident, it may be the perfect time to start the process!
Our display home (in the Homequest Luxury Display Home Village) is open seven days a week. We can meet with you there. Or we can meet remotely, bringing together our award-winning team to discuss design and knock down rebuild plans.
Has being at home during isolation made you realise that you need a home that’s better designed for your family’s needs? Call us! We’d love to chat about your thoughts on knocking down and rebuilding.
Because, as we always say, living in a custom-built home just brings joy.
